Rules & Responsibilities
Phone Calls
Parents may call staff as much as they wish to check on progress, from
the first day on.
- Boys may not receive
calls during the first 30 days. This is the adjustment period.
- After the first
30 days, parents may call every other week to talk with their young
man.
- Boys may receive
phone calls from immediate family or person you deem fit.
We ask for
a phone list from you.
Letters
Parents may write as much as they wish.
- Boys may receive
and write letters to and from immediate family as soon as they arrive
at Shamrock.
- Families will recieve mailing labels at time of enrollment, which will need to be affixed to all incoming mail.
Rules for Boys while
at Shamrock
- No Smoking
- No Tobacco Products
- No Alcohol
- No Drugs
- Boys will show
a respectful behavior.
- Boy will not be
allowed to bully or touch any other person while at Shamrock.
- Boys will attend
school and participate in sports on year round basis.
Items Not Allowed
- No black clothing
- No tobacco products, aspirin,
Tylenol, non-prescription inhalers, sprays, ect.
- No aerosol items
- No earrings
- No CD players, tape players,
or music boxes / radios
- No skateboards
- No knives or weapons
- No gang, band, or other
inappropriate logo clothing
- No money
- No magazines
- No jewelry other than a
watch
Visits and Home
Visits
Boys may receive a family visit
at Shamrock after being in the program for three months. This visit may
be restricted to on-campus only. (Depending on behavior)
Boys may go home on a family visit after being at Shamrock for six months.
(Depending on behavior)
Times that home visits are allowed. (Depending on behavior)
- Christmas
- Summer time
- Spring break
- Special family events
